Here be the rules of the forum, as well as a few pointers to get you started. Don't forget to read the rule threads in each forum section before you post, too. They apply as much as these.
=============
WHEN SIGNING UP
=============
After you register, you're given five (5) days to validate your account. If you take too long or validation fails, the account will be removed. Contact us if you experience any problems. Disposable e-mail addresses are not allowed.
Please do not sign up with multiple accounts. One account is all that is needed. "Clones" will be removed and a warning will be given.
Also, take care to not use a username containing special symbols, ASCII characters or full caps. The standard 26-letter alphabet (and maybe a number or two) will suffice. We will edit your username at our discretion.
==========
FORUM RULES
==========
1. Respect other users of this forumIf your post insults or flames another user, or fails to contribute positively to a discussion, reword/edit it or simply refrain from posting it. Disobeying this rule results in a warning, and possibly a ban depending on severity.
(Note: If you have a problem with someone, discuss the matter using Private Messages. Personal arguments will be removed.)
2. Listen to the Administrators and ModeratorsThis is general common sense. Do not ignore them if they issue you a warning, as doing so will earn you a one-way ticket to Ban Land.
3. Do not use explicit/swear words or post inappropriate materialThis includes hateful, discriminatory, or pornographic material and words. Do not attempt to bypass the word-filter, either. Doing so shows a complete lack of respect for this rule and you will be issued a warning.
4. Do not publicly discuss episode downloadingThis is a serious matter. Express true fandom by showing consideration towards the Teen Titans production crew, who've worked hard to provide us with an amazing animated series. Anyone found openly discussing where or how to download episodes will be IMMEDIATELY BANNED WITHOUT WARNING for 1 week. This includes direct links on websites, IRC and torrents.
5. Do not publicly discuss where to obtain comic scansComic scans are as illegal as downloading episodes last time I checked. We understand that you might have difficulty obtaining real issues, but that's no freebie to discuss or ask for scans. People found openly discussing where or how to download comic scans will be IMMEDIATELY BANNED WITHOUT WARNING for 1 week.
6. Make your posts clear and easy to readThis means using proper English and grammar. The purpose of this rule is to maintain a forum that is easily understandable by everyone.
Do not use sTiCkY cApS, 1337 5p34k, ALL CAPS WHILE TYPING, or excessive Smiley icons .
No "AOL speak" (example: "U R 2 kewl 4 skool"), and please no long strings of unbroken characters (such as twelve or thirteen exclamation points in a row). The latter causes broken thread tables, which makes it difficult for members to read the entire thread page. Posts that do not follow this rule will be immediately edited and you will be given a warning.
7. DO NOT bash Cartoon Network or threaten the staff of Teen Titans in any way, even jokinglyBe smart. Breaking this rule will result in an immediate ban for 1 week.
8. Please no sulking posts, the Forums aren't a personal diaryExamples:
"No one likes me, I'm leaving forever!"
"Does anyone wanna be my friend I'm so lonely ;_;"
"I hate all of you!"
(If you no longer wish to stay, simply leave. Do not bring other members into your personal issues. On the other hand, stating that you're taking a long absence or trip is all good and fine. Some members may like to know what's up and where you've been.)
9. Spamming off-topic things and "Link-and-runs" are not allowedWhen posting news or updated info on Teen Titans (episode news, merchandise news, etc.), provide a link or source to the information. Do not post rumors or stuff you "just heard from someone." Doing so will get you a formal warning.
Keep this rule in mind when posting in the introduction thread. You are welcome to post about yourself as a newbie and then to welcome other newbies, but do not start a conversation or engage in idle chit-chat in that thread. Please take those kinds of things to PM or risk getting banned.
10. No "rate avatar/sigpic/cat/doorbell/whatever" games.They are really annoying and don't contribute to the forum. Really, stop doing it.
11. Do not armchair mod.If you are not a mod, do not act like one. There are people in this forum whose job it is to keep order. If there is a problem with one of the other members, let the admins and/or mods handle it. It isn't your place to be bossing people around just because you know they are doing something wrong, so just don't do it.
12. Do NOT post any spoilers for "Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo" outside of the section dedicated to it.Anyone found posting anything (text, graphics, video, etc) outside of the dedicated section will be probated for 14 days.
=============
WARNING SYSTEM
=============
(Note: Bans and warnings carry over from the Oekakis and vice versa. So if you blow it on the forums, your Oekaki access will be denied as well)
First Offense
Informal warning from moderators/admins. This may be in the thread or by Private Message.
Second Offense
Formal warning from moderators/admins. This will be by private message. If you choose to not receive private messages, we will find another way to contact you.
Third Offense
Probation or Temporary Ban. Depending on severity, it can run between 3-7 days. When the ban has been lifted, you are free to continue posting.
Final Offense
Permanent ban.
Aaaand, that's basically what you need to know before you start posting. Have fun and enjoy yourselves!

New sigpic rule: you may now no longer have 2 sigpic-like images in your sig. This goes for all images that are approx. 400x200 pixels.
This rule will come into effect in 4 days, so change now, or be changed.

| From now on, you must validate your account within five days when signing up. That's more than enough time to send us an e-mail if something goes wrong.

I thought I put this in here, but no idle chatter is allowed in the introduction thread. If you wish to talk to a new member about something that you may have in common or whatever, TAKE IT TO PRIVATE MESSAGING.

Posting to remind everyone that spoilers for "Trouble in Tokyo" are NOT allowed anywhere but the Tokyo section of the forums. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Discussion threads. Not even hints at what happens, comprende?
- Fanfics. If your fic has links to Tokyo, please put a spoiler warning in the topic of the thread. Something like "Blah blah fic title (K) (Tokyo Spoilers)" will suffice.
- Graphics. No avatars, signatures, or any other graphics may be posted made from "Tokyo" images. You may link to another site with them, such as your livejournal, but you must put a warning in your thread title (since most of you update your title when you update your threads)
- Videos. Again, a warning in your thread title is sufficient.
Anyone found breaking this rule is probated for 14 days.

Posting to "announce" that disposable e-mail addresses are not allowed. This has always been the case, but I thought I'd draw some attention to it.
We need a reliable way to contact you in case something happens to your account, whether or not it's your fault. TGN does not give away/sell or otherwise share your e-mail address with others. You can even hide it in your profile if you don't want others to see it.
