The comics would disagree with you. Plus, show moments have allowed it to be a possibility, even though the creators said it wasn't to happen during the show's timeframe.

The oriignal comics are essentially about different characters, and should be treated as a distinct continuum. Yes, there are some shout outs to the comics, and some things tweaked because of censorship reasons, but sooner or later you have to treat them as a distinct entity.

Case in point, TV Starfire is cheerful, naive, and capable of inhuman Otherness. Comic Book Starfire is a nymphomaniacal exhibitionist with semi-permanent anger. TV Terra is a morally ambiguous and conflicted character. Comic Book Terra is a one-dimensional sociopath with nightmare-inducing 70s hair. TV Slade is a mysterious figure with vast resources and goals of conquest. He has robot minions and contracts other agents to do his dirty work. Comic Book Slade is a person who's really named Slade and has Deathstroke as a secret identity and works as a hired killer.

I love this kiss. xD
It gets Robin to shut up.

Amen to every last word, Fuzy! *nod nod*
I suppose I do need to listen to you a bit, though. I seem to find myself comparing the animated to the comics quite a bit, and then I find that I'm not enjoying one more than the other because of it. Eh. I love em both, though. They are separate, I must say, though there's quite a bit of homage in the series, and that's probably what got me into the show in the first place. I grew up with DC and Marvel, y'see. So, when I saw the commercial for Teen Titans first on TV, I ran to my father and screamed about it because I loved the comics he'd shown me beforehand.

And I love, love, loved the kiss. It gave something to latch onto as "closure", rather than the open-ended series finale we were given. *tear*

The kiss was indeed adorable. I remember when I first watched it, I think my mouth dropped to the floor when they were first attempting to kiss. XD

Aw, ChoMo, you and I both. I laughed a bit too hard at Robin's, "Hi..." the first time they went for a kiss. He sounded like he was going out of his way to sound cool, and that made me want to hug him even more. I love that boy, really I do. ^_^

I remember watching the second attempt for the first time, I tossed my granola bar at the TV and shouted, "GRAH! DAMN YOU FOR THE MOMENT, OTHER TITANS!"

The final product had me blushing, falling off the couch, and mumbling a bunch of crap about how much I loved the series. I'm pretty sure I still do something along those lines whenever I watch Trouble in Tokyo reruns. *grin*

Ooh! I loved when Star kissed that random Japanese guy, and after he told her the directions he "confessed" his love. xD Ah, that's awesome. I also made captions for what each Titans' reaction was to the kiss...but, I'm afraid Robin's portion of it wouldn't be too...eh...un-violent for the boards. Gotta love Trouble in Tokyo.

By the way, I haven't talked to you in weeks. *hugs*

Robin is awesome! He makes me mad sometimes but you still gotta love him!

HAHAHA! I don't blame you for throwing it at the TV! I would too! XDD

Me too! I'm a crazy little fan girl every time I watch this movie!

I would love to see these captions! >Smile Hahaha evil smiley. XD

HUGS INDEED! It's been a while!

*dark, sadistic chuckle*
Those are certainly not the only captions I've got locked up in my mind. I posted one or two in the "Things a Titan Would Never Say" board, but I don't think I put up my other, more...devious ones. Aha, I kid.

...Mostly. Perhaps I'll PM it to ya. I'm a fairly new member, and I'd certainly hate to be warned/banned within the first few weeks. Ah welly-well.

That wouldn't be the first time I've thrown something at the tube when watching TT, actually. I distinctly remember watching Date With Destiny and first dropping my half empty cereal bowl on the floor when I first got a good look at Kitten's ploy...then proceded to throw that later empty bowl at just about every scene where she pretty much raped Robin.

I was friggin' elated to see Star attack her, though. I wish there was another episode featuring Kitten...aside from the last two, I think it is. But, only so I could see her destroyed...again and again. Is it really that obvious how much I hate her? :3

FuzyNecromancer : Off-topic, but Terra's hair was definitely 80s style. So many people had that style back in the 80s. I remember a few of my teachers even had it. lol

Anywho...slightly on-topic...um...I liked the kiss. I liked how everything in the movie kind of led up to it.

Yes if you can please PM. I'm anxious! Very Happy

I despise Kitten. >_< She reminded me of one of them preppy girls. I was appalled by her actions!

Starfire is amazing. I'm glad she pounced on her! XD

it was amazing! i mean, come on! you could tell from the first season that they liked eachother, and finally they actually admit it 5 seasons later! the first time that they held hands was in the second episode "Sisters" when they were jumping off that ship. but still, it was totally awesome.
