Finally got to read this issue. No thanks to accursed local comic stores who order very little of the series. *grumbling noises*
Anyway...
TTG #9 Cover
War Machine
"Fixit comes to town and 'helps' the team defeat Gizmo, but in the process they learn that bigger weapons might not be the answer to fighting evil. And introducing the Titans-Bot!"

Not a bad issue, and we get to see some cool huge-robot-fighting stuff. The story and its simplicity almost immediately reminded me of the story from TTG #6 (the Thunder/Lightning issue). The art seemed to take a few turns in the issue, most notably when Todd started drawing the SD'd Titans differently. I guess he was trying to stretch his cartoon style or something.
"War Machine" was neat, and even had a lil cameo by Jinx and Mammoth. Todd's Super D Titans were super cute as always, and seeing Starfire getting burnt to a crisp was kind of funny. Sure, I feel bad for laughing, but heyyy.
Anyone else pick this up? What'd you think?

| I didn't care much for this one... I thought it wasn't a good story and not much was accomplished.

They accomplish very little in the issues I've read so far. Moralistic crap and all. I love the little SD drawings though.

The issue was cute and all, and, hey, who am I to come down on giant robots, but the fact that they made a joke who's answer was "war" threw me a little. Uh, moralistic much? That was just strange. I'd hate to be the kid who's parents are pro-war and going off at them for having this book.

Fixit was most definitly obsessed with making upgrades on everything. The computer can be perfect and he'd want upgrades on it. The War question I would've never guessed. All and all, a nice and entertaining comic. Waiting for next month's already though. The Titans-bot resembled a cross between Transformers and Power Rangers to me.

I re-read it again today, it also felt better than the first time, it's also one of my favorites, too bad Gizmo didn't have any fun made up insults like the comic, i liked jinx and mamooths cameo. The theme was pretty fun, and finally gizmo being a worthy oponent, overall i enjoyed it a lot.
