Well, the last wednesday of another month has passed, and you know what that means. Another brand-spanking TTG issue!

Finding Nero
"A vile, muck-covered creature from the depths of the ocean is menacing Jump City. Could teen hearthrob Aqualad be behind it?"

TTG #10 Cover

Preview pages:
Page One
Page Two
Page Three

Grrr. This came out last week, but I didn't get to find a copy of it...so no review from me. To provide page scans, I had to hit up someone who managed to get it. So preview pages are courtesy of the wonderful BubblesClown...who doesn't post because she's allergic to forums. But we love her lots, and you should too. Thanks BC, you are hot! D:

Those of you who read it, post your thoughts. This issue happened to have a Terra cameo, but I'm not saddened one bit by this. No sir.

*sob*

*edit* Changed the coverlink to the cover, and not the thumbnail of the cover. -Forau

The art was awesome. And, it had Aqualad! <3 <3 <3 *gets shot*

Also, it was nice to see cameos of Terra, Speedy, Secret and Slobo. Young Justice~! <3

The story was a little "Er...?" Where did this 'Gill Girl' come from? She's no Tula...

I know how it feels. I went up to BAM just today and not one copy to be found.

But I think I know what goes on. As you see the girls are swooning over Aqualad (again....) and Starfire goes putting up "Teen Seen" posters of Aqualad, Speedy, etc... on Robin's wall where he keeps his newspaper highlights of the city, making him kind of jealous.

Damn, finally got to read TTG #10. And what should be around the corner and out in stores in two weeks, but TTG #11. Curses curses curses...

Anyway, I think #10 (Finding Nero) has the best balance of story, humor, and action out of all the issues so far. For once, a TTG story that didn't feel contrived, rushed, or small-scale...even though it was just about Aqualad looking for his "Gill Friend" who was out on a rescue mission for a petshop turtle.

And hey, Terra, Slobo, and Secret cameos to boot!

About the only thing in this issue that bugged me was how Terra looked. She didn't really look all that cute, and I hope Todd changes his version of her for TTG 11. I know....it's just a small cameo and nothing to really get worked up over, but....it's TERRA, dammit. I don't really like the sudden style change for the SD'd characters that's taken place in Todd's last few issues, but they looked pretty cute here. Manic, but cute.

Maybe the titans took the picture of Terra when she least expected it. (Much like on my mom's driver's licence where it looks like she just crawled out of bed) And I guess they felt it needed no effort since it's just a photo on the side of the screen.

I'm just happy that there was actually a picture of Terra in TTG #10 even though I kinda felt it was coming.

I just re-read it, and it was great, it does feel not rushed and flows well, great mistery, it didn't turn out to be something lame. I also feel that this is a nice transition to SF/R getting over Aqualad, that is why in wavelength they are not over him. I loved how Robins room was potrayed as always putting newspapers up there, not just slades. I saw a lot of hidden things that i didn't see the first time, it was fun. I hope we get to see Gillgirl in the future, even if it only as a small cameo. And like i said on TTG#4 thread, the park is the same one as that issue.
Cool details.

I do have a small continuity question, for Terra and speedy to have communicators this had to happen after Winner Takes All, I wonder if in this issue, Terra is supposed to be with the Titans and maybe she was just training, or what other explanation could there be?

It was not terra on the magizine cover. Since the visable letters were
S---et, I belive it was infact the young hero Secret, who was a member of
The group Young Justice along With Robin. Don't know who the top right one was.

Terra's in this issue? Shocked Does that mean this story takes place between "Titan Rising" and "Countdown" (TTG! #11)? I'm anxious to know what role she plays in this issue... Also, I heard that Terra (or rather, a fake version of her) briefly appears in TTG! #20. Are either of these issues worth picking up? I really should get the digests...
