Just picked up Issue #6 the other day, gotta say I like the team dynamics and characters, who are all pretty minor people in DC and therefore this book is the only place where you can see them. Simone also does a pretty good job writing comedy into it, and although I wish there was a bit more story in each issue (Like Hellboy or SWL manage), she is doing some pretty interesting things here and there.

I have a few questions,, though
1. Why is Junior so disfigured when Ragdoll claimed she/he "was so beautiful"?
2. What happened to Bane?

#10's been out, I like the mercenary direction Simone is taking the group, I don't think any other DC series is trying anything morally gray like the current "working for slavers" deal the Six are pulling right now. Really ambiguous writing, no idea what the artifact is.

Series is up to #17, and is probably one of the better team products (if not the best) that DC is putting out. Gail Simone is still kind of hit or miss for me; someone of her issues have spot-on-characterization, others the dialog (she's especially guilty of this with Bane) just... grinds along. Deadshot and Jeanette are still the most awesomest characters around though.

If they're Hungarian, they're not Banshees.
Other than that? This series is okay. Certainly better than most of everything else floating around in the sea of comic book crap.

Jeanette grew up in Hungary, and is a Banshee. What the hell is your point other than disagreeing as usual?
ANYWAYS, latest two issues seems to have gotten Simone out of the dialog funk she was in with the slavery arc.

Honestly, what's so heinous about disagreeing with what a banshee is? It's not enough to make me not enjoy the comic, so why let a thing like that annoy you so much? People disagree with things, that's life! If someone wrote a story about a Mexican Valkyrie, they'd have Norse Mythology majors crawling up their ass about it. But if they liked the actual story, then who the hell cares?
MOVING ON, did anybody happen to catch the Blackest Night tie-in? In spite of it's somewhat deus ex machina ending (a Manhunter android showing up and exploding? Okayyyy) I thought it was a fun read. Black Alice was actually pretty badass for once.

By the by, I'm not the only one who cares. Nobody else (see, you) here the forum may care, but one in three people at Outer Planes (my comic shop of choice) agree that if she's Hungarian, she's not a Banshee. The other two say "Isn't a Banshee like a ghost, or something?"

See, as much as you'd like to think otherwise, I do like this series. Deadshot had always been a favorite of mine, so him getting screen time is a huge plus. It’s also nice to see Bane in action, and the other characters are a nice blend.
But hey, if you're just gonna wail your arms about and say "GET OUT" in every post you make, then I'll kindly take my leave. Have fun discussing this comic with the other fans here!  See ya in the funny papers.
